Lottery and Presale Info

Lottery Info

There will be lottery emails going out this Friday for Black (Vader) and Blue Isogrip pens. I have some colourful variants planned for next week but more on that later. Watch for the passwords...timing is about right to avoid the US tariff nonsense as well. About that...

Presale Info

I have never sold via presale but this steely eyed rocket man came up with a fantastic method of 'timed presales'.

Basically the store will open for a short duration (1min or the like) and ANYONE can purchase a pen. There will be more details out on this but I think its a workable solution for people to purchase the pens they want and not swamp my production with 1000's of orders.

Lots of kinks to work out for my US customers (and your ever changing tariff requirements) but I think I have solutions in mind for most things. I will likely start with the most popular pens (Frags and satin / nebula finishes) to test the waters. As always I will do my best to keep things fair and try my best to cater to those who have been waiting the longest in the lottery.

US Tariff Info

By the time you are reading this the information is probably out of date but right now CUSMA is still protecting my products for US import. A blanket 10% did apply a few days back but I believe its suspended for the next (insert favorite number here) days

The 50% tariff was in effect for a few days but did not apply to my specific export category. That has also now been suspended for...(insert speed of unladen swallow here) days.

Everyone shipping outside of the US is unaffected.

Fun Stuff

I do a podcast with my friend Jamie every week where we talk shop and small business fire storms...or just rant about what is currently tickling our brains. Check it out here if that's up your alley. We also sell silly shirts to fund our weekly talks.

The 'yet to be named' finish

Here are some pics of the new hybrid blasted / tumble polished finish. Its the finish I apply to all my personal pens. Has more of the durability of a blasted finish but the smoothness of a stonewashed finish. Thankyou all who have submitted name suggestions.

I enjoy that the finish provides a very uniform surface look and slightly polishes the hard edges. The crisp lines get a bit of a shine to them while feeling glass smooth in the hand.

Process is delicate enough that all the milling lines for the isogrip pens remain visible. A fantastic finish for this particular Isogrip pen which has a bazillion edges to work with.

Here you can just see a few fine lines of polish on the edges of the cap chamfer. An all around great finish for pens that are intended to be used.

Pricing Updates

I am updating the pricing across all pen models on the site. Specific details sent out to all subscribers via email but you should see the pen listings slowly come back online in the next week.

The TLDR, I make a fantastic product to a quality standard that exceeds most. Pricing my work fairly for both you and me ensures I can continue to pour WAY to much time and effort into this work. I only produce things I am proud of and this helps fuel that obsessive need to get everything perfect.
